Creating a unique rounded rectangle orange logo

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice orange logo.

Start off by creating a new 400px x 400px document. Create a new layer and fill it with 484747 (to fill it set the foreground color to the color and using the paint bucket tool press on the canvas). This will be our background.

Set the foreground color to ff8400 this will be our base color of the logo. With the rounded rectangle tool make a rectangle with a radius of 17px. Using the ellipse marquee tool make a selection like this and press delete.


This will give or shape a better look.

Rasterize the layer with our shape and press delete (this will delete a small part of our shape). You should have something like this:

Apply the next settings to the layer (Right click on the layer on the layers palette and press blending options):

With the type tool I typed TPS (Just an example). Apply the next settings to the text layer:


You should have something like this:

CTRL + Click on the shape layer image (in the layers palette) to make a selection of the logo. With the ellipse marquee tool set to intersect with selection mode make a selection as in the image below:


Fill it with white. Bring the opacity to 15%.
