Creating a nice website header

In this nice tutorial I will teach you how to create a nice website header.

Start off by creating a new document 800px x 200px.

Get the rounded rectangle tool. Set a radius of 15px and draw two rectangles as in the image below:


Rasterize the two layers by right clicking on the layers and selecting rasterize layer.

Get the type tool and write your site name. Now add the next settings to the both shapes and the text.




Rasterize the layer with the text. Marge the layer with the text with the layer with the shape on the left. Go to Edit > Transform > Skew and play with the margins till you get something like in the image:


Now move the to layers till they fit in the canvas.

If you want you can create a new text layer where you write your website slogan as I did.

Get the rounded rectangle tool and create some buttons. Marge the buttons layers.

Add some text to the buttons and you are done.

[TPSIN] Sketch effect

Sketch effect

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice looking sketch from a normal photo

First of all open the image you would like to turn it into a sketch.

You can use mine if you want.

Now desaturate the image by going to Image > Adjustments > Desaturate or by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + U



We need to see the difference between the black and white. For this thing play a little bit at Image > Adjustments > Brightness & Contrast. You should get something like this:



For the final step go to Filter > Stylize > Find Edges.

Adjust a little bit the levels (CTRL + L) and you are done !

You can also insert a gaussian blur

[TPSIN] Creating a cool flame

Creating a cool flame

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a very cool flame using the clouds, stay tuned and see how

Create a new document 500px x 500px.

Create a new layer. Set the foreground layer to a orange one and the background to black.

Go to Filter > Render > Clouds










Now you need to go Filter > Render > Difference Clouds. Repeat this step using CTRL + F until you fill it’s ok. I repeated this up to 12, so don’t scary making the repeat step.










Right click on the layer and select blending options. Go to Gradient Overlay and set it as mine. You can play with the scale and the opacity to get better results

Creating a cool icon for your project

In this tutorial you will learn how to create an icon for your tutorial.

Create a new document 1480px x 1000px. Create a new layer and paste this image.

You should now have something like this.

Duplicate the layer. Go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical.

Select the move tool and drag the flipped image below the normal one.

You should have this:

Right click on the layer with the flipped image and select blending options.

Apply the next settings:

Right click on the layer we added blending options and click merge down.

Go to Edit > Transform > Skew

And drag the middle square up as in the image below.


You can also move the picture so it fits the screen

You are done ! Result:

Engraving text

In this tutorial I will show you how to engrave the text in metal in photoshop

Start off by creating a new document 800px x 600px.

Create a new layer. Select the rectangle marquee tool and make a selection. Fill the rectangle with black (using the paint bucket tool).

Right click on the rectangle layer and select blending options. Apply the next settings:


Set #96938e as the foreground colour. Select the type tool and type what you want.

Duplicate the layer. On the old layer with the text change the font colour to #e6e1e1 move it to the right and a little bit at the bottom so it will look as a shadow. Now you’re done.

Color masking

In this tutorial you will learn about color masking. A lot of photos are gray scale but you can also see parts of the photo color. I will learn you how to make this so it looks real.

Start off by opening a flower for example.

Create new fill or adjustment layer > Hue/Saturation.

Make sure that Colorize it’s checked and play with the Hue until you get a color you like.

Press on the Hue/Saturation layer and get the brush tool. Start brushing the area you want to give the color back. (Play with the brush sizes because you will need smaller brushes in not so wide areas)

Simple text reflection

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a simple but cool text reflection.

Start off by creating a new document 400px x 200px will be good enough.

Get the type tool and type in the top half a text. I wrote “tutorial” orange color: ec9125 and black.


Right click on the layer where the text is and click Duplicate Layer.

Press CTRL + T on the layer we just created to bring up the free transform menu. On the menu bar change the H: value from 100% to -100%

Drag the text we rotated below the normal text.

On the layer duplicated right click on it > blending options.

Apply the gradient setting

Creating a nice looking text

In this tutorial I will show you how to add some effects to your text so it will look very nice.

Start off by creating a new document 550px x 170px.

Create a new layer. Chose the Text tool and write a text using Porky’s as the font, 72pt as the text size, and Strong as the anti-aliasing.

Right click on the text layer and select blending options. Apply the next settings:

Place your signature over a photo

In this tutorial you will learn how to put you signature over every photo you want.

First of all open a photo you want to add the signature to it.

Create a new layer, and select the type tool. Chose Wingding as the font. I chose 72pt as the text size. I wrote “k”.

Right click on the layer where the letter is and select blending options.

In the window just opened set the opacity to 0%, after this continue to apply the next settings.

Creating a cool looking button

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a cool looking button.

Start off by creating a new file 400px x 400px with a white background.

Create a new layer. Select the rounded rectangle tool. We are going to draw a rectangle with 260px x 60px and with #A80808 set as the foreground colour and with a radius of 10px.

To adjust the rectangle dimensions follow this:

Click on the canvas to draw the rectangle. (If you need you can move it to the centre using the move tool).

Right click on the layer we drew the rectangle, select Blending Options and apply the next settings:

Create a new layer and select the type tool. Wright a word on the button (I chose Home). The font is Microsoft Sans Serif, Regular, 26 pt, Strong with and color: White.

Right click on the layer and apply the next setting (Right click on the layer and select blending options):

Create a new layer. Chose the custom shape tool and from the arrow dropdown list chose All. Select the arrow as the shape.

Draw two shapes. Right click on the layer where the custom shapes are and select Blending Options.

Apply the next settings:

Start off by opening a new photo you like to give it a nice aspect

Go to channels palette and create a new channel.

Select the rounded rectangle tool with a radius of 5px

Draw a rectangle as I did.

Select the channel (CTRL + Click on the channel). Take the move tool and white pressing SHIFT + CTRL + ALT drag the rectangle with the mouse. You should get this.

Make this until you finish the first line.

Then, select the channel (CTRL + Click on the channel). Take the move tool and while pressing SHIFT + CTRL + ALT drag the selection down with the mouse.

Repeat until you finish with the rows.

You should get this:

After this, Select the channel and go to Select > Inverse. Return to layers palette and select the paint bucket tool. Create a new layer (make sure you still have the selection) and fill it with white.

Deselect (CTRL + D) and you are done !

Create a new file let’s say 150px x 40px. Create a new layer.

To create the button select the rounded rectangle tool and set the radius to 5px, draw a rectangle.

On the new layer, where we drew the rectangle, right click and select blending options.

Apply the next settings:


I also added text to the button using Trebuchet MS, Bold, 15pt, Strong, White color.

After this, I added some blending options to the layer with the text:

Cool looking text

In this tutorial I will show you how to create good looking text. We will use blending options to add the text some great effect.

Create a 500px x 200px new document with a white background.

Get the Text Tool and select Arial as the font, and type with 72pt what text you want.


First duplicate the layer and rename it to Overlay Layer

Select the original layer and go to Blending Options

Use the following settings:


To add the gradient text effect, select the Overlay layer and change the font color to white. Change the layer’s mode to Overlay. Right click on this layer and click Rasterize Layer.

To finish, select the marquee tool and change the feather to 9px. Make the selection on the bottom half as in the picture and press delete.


Same to the top quarter of the text.

[TPSIN] Line manipulation

This is a nice simple tutorial about line manipulation

You will need this when you will want to add a curve to your lines and so on

Begin with creating a new document let’s say 300px x 300px

Create a new layer and select the line tool, it’s below the text tool.

Make a line in the middle of your document. Go to Edit > Transform or Transform Path > Warp


Start dragging the stuff and enjoy.

You know now how to manipulate a line.

First open a pair of eyes, or a photo with someone

Zoom at an eye.

Select the Epileptical Marquee tool and select the eye.

Go to Image > Adjustments > Hue / Saturation, click colorize, and drag the Hue so it selects the color you like.

Repeat the same stept for the other eye
